Clear independent medical exams for Ontario insurance, disability, and litigation matters
An Independent Medical Examination, commonly called an IME, is arranged when an objective medical opinion is needed about a person's injuries, condition, or level of function. It isn't a treatment appointment. The assessor's job is to review the available information, complete an appropriate assessment, and answer the questions set out in the referral — nothing more, nothing less.
What an IME addresses
Depending on the file and the assessor's expertise, an IME may address diagnosis and the nature of an impairment; whether a reported condition is related to the accident, illness, or event in question; current and proposed treatment; recovery and prognosis; physical, psychological, or cognitive restrictions; ability to work or carry out other important activities; whether further specialist input is needed; and future medical or rehabilitation considerations.

Quality Assurance
Our QA and administrative team checks every file for missing referral responses, inconsistencies, and unclear passages before it reaches you. The clinical opinion stays entirely the assessor's — we just make sure nothing slows the file down.
